The Band spent a large part of Sunday recording some pieces for a CD we are going to be putting together. Microphones and wires everywhere, no talking, coughing or rustling of music allowed and Karen made us pay serious attention to the musical detail. We had a list of what we were to be playing….and then we changed it on the day, well that’s Jazz I suppose! Thank you to everyone for their time and patience in what seemed a very long session.
We were all sad to say goodbye to a couple of significant band members – Andy Mudge (percussion), who is going to do Geology at Manchester University and Richard Newman (Alto Sax) who is going to do a Masters in something bio-chemical at Queens University in Belfast!
Best of luck to you both, we hope Linton Jazz has served you well and that we will see you again soon.
